• New Shipping Program for SMEI Members

    12/27/2012 — Scott Frederick

SMEI LogoPartnerShip proudly helped another association group launch a full-service shipping program for its members. The SMEI Shipping Program will be introduced to members in the upcoming quarterly issue of the Marketing Times digital magazine.

Sales & Marketing Executives International (SMEI) is the worldwide organization dedicated to ethical standards, continuing professional development, knowledge sharing, mentoring students and advancing free enterprise. Since no other worldwide executive sales and marketing associations exist, SMEI fills a void by providing a personal and professional community devoted to providing knowledge, growth, leadership and connections between peers in both sales and marketing. With over 10,000 members around the world, members benefit from both the strength of an international organization and the resources that a chapter provides through ongoing seminars, lectures and networking opportunities.

Now SMEI members will receive direct access to high-quality, discounted shipping services through the SMEI Shipping Program managed by PartnerShip. The program will include small package, LTL freight, and tradeshow services, and will provide members and their companies with economical access to world-class carriers, including FedEx, Con-way Freight, UPS Freight, YRC Freight and others.

If you're a member of SMEI and are intersted in learning more, be sure to check out the member benefits section on the smei.org website, talk to the leadership for your regional chapter, or contact PartnerShip directly at 800-599-2902 or sales@PartnerShip.com.

  • A Holiday Gift from PartnerShip

    12/18/2012 — Scott Frederick

During this 2012 holiday season, we at PartnerShip continue our tradition of sharing our good fortune where it can benefit the less fortunate among us. In lieu of expensive customer gifts (other than our complimentary 2013 calendars), and as we have done in years past, we have made generous donations to five charities located near our corporate office in Cleveland, OH. Each, we feel, is worthy of our support because of the good they do in our community.

PartnerShip Charities 2012The organizations receiving these contributions are:

    • Debra: (The Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association of America) is committed to finding a cure for EB, while responding to the increased need to provide direct services to patients and their families.

    • American Cancer Society Hope Lodge: is a unique home away from home for people (and their families) who need temporary, comfortable, supportive accommodations offered free of charge during cancer treatments.

    • Ronald McDonald House: the family room is a brief respite for families to use while remaining merely steps away from their child's bedside; making it a bit of home within the walls of a hospital.

    • Emily's Hopeful Holiday: Emily is a 12 year old girl who was diagnosed with  Leukemia in 2007, now a cancer survivor, with her family she created EHH to raise funds to help other families at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital dealing with childhood cancer.

    • Ames Family Hospice House: this 32-bed hospice care center offers comfort care for seriously ill people and their loved ones in peaceful, comfortable surroundings. This facility is newly built and was built with patients and their families in mind with private suites and porches enhancing the home-like feeling.

PartnerShip has a long history of generously giving back to the community, through individual fund-raising events and yearly participation in our local United Way drive. Each of the selected charities has touched our employees' hearts in a personal way and holds special meaning to our company. We hope that you agree that these donations will have a great and beneficial impact - after all, these donations would not be possible without the loyalty and support of our customers.

    Thank you and happy holidays!

In addition to good food, and a couple holiday games, we also had our first ever "ugly sweater contest." As showcased in the video below, the employees who participated in the contest really strutted their stuff. Ultimately, it was Alex West (customer service representative) that won the popular vote. Congratulations Alex and thank you PartnerShip for providing such a great workplace culture!

  • Take the Stress Out of Shipping this Holiday Season!

    12/11/2012 — Matt Nagel

Shipping can be tricky - selecting what service to use, choosing the most cost-effective method, and timing delivery and pick-ups correctly can all add up to a major headache. Now add in the extra pressures of the holiday season and your headache becomes even more severe. Not to worry, PartnerShip is here, as always, to help get you through the tough holiday shipping season with some quick tips and hints.  PartnerShip
    • This may be an obvious suggestion, but be sure to check carrier closure dates. It's a good idea to look at these sooner rather than later to plan ahead and make sure your shipment arrives when promised for that important customer or even that gift your shipping to friends or family. The carrier websites will usually display their holiday closures. You may have to do a little searching this early, but closer to the holidays the closures are usually front and center on the carrier's home page. Every year PartnerShip puts together a quick reference of our core carrier closures as well. Click here to view the calendar.
    • Choose the correct line of service for your packages. Choosing the correct service is imperative to keep costs down and get your shipment to it's destination in a timely manner. If you're shipping a small, non-palletized shipment (usually under 200 lbs) you have a couple of decisions to make. FedEx Express offers solutions for shipments that need to be at their destination quickly, while FedEx Ground and Home Delivery offer the more cost effective alternatives for less time-critical shipping. PartnerShip offers highly discounted solutions for all of these services through our association shipping programs so your business is saving as much as possible. With FedEx having its busiest day ever on 12/10, it's good to have someone in your corner like PartnerShip to help navigate your shipments through this busy time.
    • Linking up with a 3rd party is a good idea for small businesses. 3rd party shippers, like PartnerShip, help by taking the stress away from you for small package shipments as well as any big shipments (over 200 lbs.) you may have this holiday season. Less-than-truckload (LTL) freight shipments are a specialty of PartnerShip. We work with only the most reputable carriers to ensure your palletized or big shipment is delivered in the most cost effective way. PartnerShip also takes care of the red tape, paperwork, and pick-ups/dropoffs around LTL freight shipping to ensure you are focused on YOUR business. Add in a service like tradeshow shipping to any conferences or tradeshows your company may exhibit at and you have a true partner for this and future holiday seasons!

If you have any questions about the tips and hints covered here, feel free to contact us at sales@PartnerShip.com. You can also click here to learn more about the full suite of PartnerShip services designed to save you time and money on every shipment, every time!

  • New Tradeshow Assurance Guarantee Provides Peace-of-Mind Shipping

    12/03/2012 — Scott Frederick

Peace of Mind ShippingPartnerShip recently announced some exciting news regarding our tradeshow services. We have formalized a new enhancement which we are calling the PartnerShip Tradeshow Assurance Guaranteeâ„¢. Now, when exhibitors ship tradeshow materials through PartnerShip, they will have the added assurance that — in the rare event their shipment is lost or delayed — PartnerShip will do whatever it takes to ensure our customers have a successful show, including replacing the missing materials, arranging for expedited shipping, and providing on-site coordination with the decorator and vendors.

The Tradeshow Assurance Guarantee is included with every tradeshow shipment handled through PartnerShip at no additional cost to the exhibitor. The built-in assurance guarantee will cover the cost of various activities that may be required to ensure the exhibiting company has what it needs for a successful tradeshow, including:

    • Expedited shipping fees for replacement materials
    • Show decorator fees to replace or reconstruct new display panels
    • Printing costs for replacement collateral and brochures
    • Premium costs for alternative booth gifts and give-a-ways
    • Additional labor fees assessed by the show decorator for late or expedited booth setup
    • On-site coordination with show decorator and outside vendors

Here is an excerpt from our news release with a quote from our company president:

—For the past 20 years, we have been working with association groups and their exhibitors to provide low-cost shipping alternatives for their important tradeshow shipments,' said John Finucane, PartnerShip president and chief operating officer. — But at the end of the day, we understand that the most important thing to exhibitors is that they have a successful show. Delivery guarantees, refunds, and apologies don't offer much relief when the exhibitor is at a tradeshow that could make or break the year for the business. That's why we're standing by our tradeshow shipping services with both a money-back delivery guarantee and a tradeshow assurance guarantee."

Download our new brochure if you are interested in learning more about our new Tradeshow Assurance Guarantee; or if you're ready for us to provide you with a free, no-obligation rate quote, click the button below.
