Shipping News Transportation Companies Discouraging Shipping to Areas Affected by Hurricane Katrina

Many shipping companies are recommending you contact your customers in the coastal and inland areas of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and the Florida panhandle to determine if they are receiving deliveries. Authorities have completely restricted or have limited access in the following ZIP Codes: Louisiana: 70000 through 70499 Businesses and individuals are encouraged NOT to ship anything to these areas. Shipments and freight sent to these areas will more than likely be returned to the shipper. For shipments already in transit to these zip codes, many carriers are stopping the shipments and returning them back to the shipper. For up to date information about delivery to these affected areas, please check with your transportation carrier's website or visit www.partnership.com. |
