Shipping News FedEx Supports NASCAR Racing Team

FedEx is sponsoring Jason Leffler and his Joe Gibbs Racing team for the 2005 NASCAR NEXTEL CupTM racing season. The NEXTEL series is the premier racing division of NASCAR. Nextel is the series sponsor for 37 races between February and November 2005. At each race, Leffler will drive one of five No. 11 Chevrolet Monte Carlo vehicles emblazoned with the FedEx colors and a different FedEx logo representing each of the comprehensive FedEx suite of shipping services. He and his team will wear uniforms that match their car's colors. Leffler will take the wheel of the FedEx Express car in 18 races. He'll drive the FedEx Ground car for six races, the FedEx Freight car for six races and the FedEx Kinko's Office and Print Center vehicle for six races. For one race in May, Leffler will drive a vehicle that pays tribute to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. For more information, go to www.nascar.com. |
