Shipping News Deadline for claims against CF approaches
January 8, 2003
Since the closing of Consolidated Freightways (CF), the bankruptcy court is starting to make headway into identifying and prioritizing claims against the company. If a former customer or vendor has an outstanding claim against CF, they should have received a Proof of Claim form to fill out. If you have not received this form, you can go to their website at www.cf.com to obtain the form and receive further information on how to fill the form out and the deadlines for filing. The bankruptcy court has established a "Bar Date" which specifies that anyone who has a claim against CF must have their Proof of Claim form completed and to the bankruptcy court by February 7, 2003. If you have an outstanding claim for damaged or lost goods, for overcharges on an invoice, you should review the Proof of Claim form and submit your proof of claim so that it is received by the stated deadline. If your claim form is not received by February 7, 2003, you may forfeit any claims you have against CF. |
