Holiday Shipping Season
November 19, 2002

Both FedEx and UPS have announced their shipping schedules for the upcoming holiday season.

FedEx Ground and UPS will not be delivering during the Thanksgiving holiday break on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29. However, FedEx Express will be making deliveries on Friday, November 29.

Need a package to arrive before Christmas? Monday, December 23 is the last day that FedEx Ground will be delivering packages. FedEx Express and UPS will be delivering on Tuesday, December 24.

FedEx and UPS will keep their money-back guarantees on time-definite air express shipments, but will suspend their guarantee on all ground shipments. Plan ahead to avoid any last minute disappointments, keeping in mind that December 17 through the 19 is the peak shipping season during the holidays.

To package your items securely to safeguard against damage while they're in transit, use a rigid box with its flaps intact and wrap the items separately. Use plenty of cushioning material and strong tape designed for shipping. Remove old address labels and use a new, single address label with clear delivery and return addresses. Place a duplicate label on the inside of the box. Do not use string or over-wrap on the box.
