FedEx® Ground Collect Shipping Instructions
To ship FedEx Ground Collect packages:
- You must have a current FedEx account and be authorized to ship FedEx Ground Collect packages. If you have an account but are not authorized to ship FedEx Ground Collect, please call 800-231-9219 and your account will be updated. Supplies will be sent to you.
If you do not currently have a FedEx account, please call 800-231-9219 to open one over the phone. You can also open an account online at www.fedex.com. Supplies will be sent to you.
- Once your account is set up and authorized to ship collect packages, you will need to place a FedEx Ground Collect Bar Code Label and address label on each package to be sent collect. Collect bar code labels can be generated through FedEx Ship Manager online at www.fedex.com or through other FedEx Ship Manager applications. Peel and stick bar code labels can be ordered by calling 800-463-3339.
- You do not need your customer's FedEx account number to ship FedEx Ground Collect packages.
- If you are not a regular stop for FedEx Ground pick up, you will need to schedule one. Pick ups can be scheduled by calling 800-463-3339 and will be made the next business day. A $8.00 or $12.00 weekly service fee will be charged to your account, depending on the volume of packages shipped that week. FedEx Ground Collect packages can be dropped off at an authorized FedEx Ground service center. No weekly service charge applies when packages are dropped off. To find a drop off facility nearest you, go to www.fedex.com and click on the locations tab.
- If you are on a regular pick up stop with FedEx Ground, please give FedEx Ground Collect packages to your driver. There are no charges for this, and FedEx will invoice your customer for the shipping.
